An Overview of our Intercultural Studies Program

Attention all Current, Incoming, Prospetive and Transfer Students:

The ICS MinorThe ICS minor integrates theological insights, global awareness, and practical skills for global development. The ICS Minor consists of only 18 units. By adding 3 more ICS courses to your 9 Bible and Theology GE units, you can complete the ICS minor. You can review the required courses here

The ICS MajorThe B.A. in ICS only requires 36 units. We reduced it from 45 units to help students focus on developing practical tools for their careers. Students are introduced to and challenged to understand global cultures, religions, and worldviews. This program focuses on integrating faith and work to address people's needs in various areas such as business, arts and sciences, communication, Church/Parachurch, refugee assistance, and economics. You can see the list of required courses here

The ICS Double MajorIf you’ve already declared a major, or if you are an ICS major, the School of Christian Ministries (SCM) has a scholarship to cover tuition if you declare a second major as long as one of them is a major in the SCM (which ICS is). By reallocating elective units towards a second major and with the means you can graduate on time without accumulating debt and obtain two majors for the price of one! You can see more information about the SCM Double-Major scholarship here

Also, by declaring an ICS minor, major, or Double Major, I’ll be able to walk alongside you towards degree completion. Here are the courses I teach that you would be able to take with me:

  • ICS 105 - Introduction to Global Studies

  • ICS 205 – Global Discipleship

  • ICS 305 – Global Christianity

  • ICS 330 – Missiology

  • ICS 410 – Global and Urban Ministry

  • ICS 435 – Evangelism and Church Planting
